Just like a sea breeze keeps you cool at the beach on a hot day, evaporative air conditioning systems use the power of evaporation to cool your home. Hot air enters the cooling unit on your roof where it is filtered and cooled as it passes through specially designed moistened Chillcel® pads. A fan then blows this beautifully cooled air throughout your home. Hot air in the house is forced out through open windows and doors providing your entire home with a complete change of air at least every two minutes.

Split

The split air conditioner comprises of two parts: the outdoor unit and the indoor unit. The outdoor unit, fitted outside the room, houses components like the compressor, condenser and expansion valve. The indoor unit comprises the evaporator or cooling coil and the cooling fan. For this unit you don’t have to make any slot in the wall of the room. Further, present day split units have aesthetic appeal and do not take up as much space as a window unit. A split air conditioner can be used to cool one or two rooms.

Ducted

A ducted air conditioning system has its internal unit (fancoil) installed within the roof space of the home. A series of ducts run from the air conditioning unit to each of the rooms in the home, allowing you to cool or heat each room using individual controls, or ‘zoning’.

Cassette

Cassette units work the same way as wall-hung split system units, with the difference being that cassettes are installed into the ceiling instead of on the wall. The indoor unit itself sits flush to your ceiling and distributes conditioned air through two, three or four sides of the unit. The outdoor unit of a cassette air conditioner is mounted outside, in much the same way as it would be for a conventional wall mounted split system unit.

Package

Packaged air conditioner is suggested if you want to cool more than two rooms or a larger space at your home or office. There are two possible arrangements with the package unit. In the first one, all the components, namely the compressor, condenser (which can be air cooled or water cooled), expansion valve and evaporator are housed in a single box. The cooled air is thrown by the high capacity blower, and it flows through the ducts laid through various rooms. In the second arrangement, the compressor and condenser are housed in one casing. The compressed gas passes through individual units, comprised of the expansion valve and cooling coil, located in various rooms.
